The Coldstones Cut is an ideal place to learn about so many things. A visit will provide you with information on landscape and geology, flora and fauna, quarrying, and industrial history.
For schools wanting to use this resource as part of the curriculum, there is an Education Programme which is linked to a specialist DVD. It includes information about the quarry, mineral extraction, geology, history and has work sheets and other teacher aids developed for primary and secondary students.
