As well as being a highly experimental object maker Andrew Sabin has made three major immersive installations, the first for The Chisenhale Gallery, then ‘The Sea of Sun’ for The Henry Moore Institute and finally ‘The Open Sea’ at The Henry Moore Studio in Halifax. Between 1998 and 2010 he concentrated his energies on applying his understanding of sculpture to the public realm in a series of ground-breaking projects culminating in ‘The Coldstones Cut’, which won the Bruntwood Award for Business and in 2011 the Marsh Award for Public Sculpture.
Andrew Sabin lives and works in West Sussex alongside his wife, the sculptor Laura Ford.
