The Landscape

Nidderdale is on the southern edge of the Yorkshire Dales and is part of the Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Its landscape ranges from remote and wild gritstone to the west with its internationally important moorland, to the softer and more lowland eastern landscape. At its heart is the historic town of Pateley Bridge and nearby Bewerley.

A visit to The Coldstones Cut is an essential part of any visit to Nidderdale. Perched on Greenhow Hill above Pateley Bridge, the sculpture offers spectacular views over the landscape of Nidderdale reaching as far as the Vale of York and York Minster.
