Andrew Sabin is a British sculptor who has exhibited extensively over a long and diverse career. He studied at Chelsea College of Art, where he later taught as a Senior Lecturer. His early practice included several large-scale installations, notably The Sea of Sun, which toured from the Henry Moore Institute to Battersea Arts Centre, the Musée de l’Elysée in Lausanne, and Culturgest in Lisbon.
Between 1998 and 2010, he focused on translating sculptural ideas into the public realm, culminating in The Coldstones Cut, which won the Bruntwood Award for Business and the Marsh Award for Public Sculpture in 2011. That same year, he was commissioned to replace Henry Moore’s Two Piece Reclining Figure No.1 at the former Chelsea School of Art; his bronze Painting and Sculpture was installed in 2013. Sabin continues to exhibit in the UK and internationally.
He lives and works in West Sussex with his wife, sculptor Laura Ford, and co-directs the educational initiative Matt Black Barn.
